Mod installed but nothing triggers in the game

Symptom

The mod says installed, the game is running, gifts arrive in TikControl, but nothing happens.

Cause

TikControl sends triggers to the game that is active in the app. If you last played another game, triggers still go there. Mods also only load when the game starts after the install.

Fix

1. Open All Games, open the game you are playing and make sure it is the active one (the page shows its triggers and a Test button).
2. Restart the game if it was already open when you installed the mod.
3. Press Test next to any trigger. If the test works but gifts do not, check the trigger's gift and count: a trigger set to "Rose x5" ignores a single Rose.
4. In Preferences, turn on Follow the running game so the app switches by itself next time.

If that did not help

Windows Firewall or a VPN can block the local connection between the app and the mod. Allow TikControl through the firewall, pause the VPN, and try again. Then open Get Help and send diagnostics: the self-check tells us whether the mod's port answers.
