GTA V: the app says connected but nothing happens in the game
Almost always Script Hook V is older than your GTA V build, so the mod never loads and TikControl has nothing to talk to.
Symptom
TikControl shows GTA V as connected, gifts come in, but nothing happens in the game. Sometimes a SCRIPT HOOK V window appears when GTA starts, saying it cannot find a compatible version.
Cause
Rockstar updates GTA V (Enhanced) every few weeks. Script Hook V, which every GTA mod depends on, needs a matching release. Until the Script Hook V author ships it, the mod refuses to load and the TikControl bridge inside the game never starts. Nothing in TikControl can change this.
Fix
- Start GTA V on its own. If a SCRIPT HOOK V dialog says the game version is not supported, that is the whole problem.
- Check dev-c.com for a Script Hook V release newer than your game build. When one exists, download it and copy ScriptHookV.dll and dinput8.dll into your GTA V folder, replacing the old ones.
- Start GTA V again, then press Connect in TikControl. Fire a test trigger from the game page.

Never run mods in GTA Online. For story mode only. If Script Hook V is already current and triggers still do nothing, open Get Help in the app and press Send to support so we can see the log.
