Minecraft: the server will not start because Java is missing
From version 1.40 the app installs the Java it needs by itself. Update, then start the server again.
Symptom
Starting the Minecraft server fails with a message about Java, or the server window closes straight away.
Cause
The server jar needs a specific Java version. Older app versions relied on whatever Java was installed on the PC.
Fix
- Update TikControl to 1.40 or newer.
- Open the Minecraft page and press Start Server again. The app finds every Java on the PC, checks what the server needs, and downloads a managed Java into its own folder when none fits. The first start takes a minute longer.
- Watch the server console on the page for "Done".
If that did not help
If the download is blocked, allow TikControl through the firewall or proxy and try again. Then open Get Help and send diagnostics so we can see which Java it found.

Mod installed but nothing triggers in the game
The app is usually sending triggers to a different game than the one running, or the game was started before the mod was installed.
Mod install stops or restarts at "checking status"
A bug in versions before 1.42.1 could cancel an install while the app checked the game status. Update and install again.
GTA V: the app says connected but nothing happens in the game
Almost always Script Hook V is older than your GTA V build, so the mod never loads and TikControl has nothing to talk to.
