The app opens for a second and then closes

Usually a half-finished update. Reinstall from the official download, your settings are kept.

Symptom

TikControl shows its window or splash for a moment and disappears, often right after an update.

Fix

  1. Open Settings > Apps in Windows, find TikControl and uninstall it. Your settings, presets and mods stay in your user folder.
  2. Download the installer again from tikcontrol.io/download and run it.
  3. Start the app. If Windows SmartScreen appears, choose More info > Run anyway.

If that did not help

The log is at %APPDATA%\tikcontrol-client\app.log. Open a ticket at tikcontrol.io/support and paste the last 30 lines, or attach the file.
