Overlay shows nothing in OBS

The browser source is usually sized wrong, set to shut down when hidden, or using a URL copied before you signed in.

Symptom

The overlay link works in Chrome but the OBS browser source stays blank, or it shows once and never updates.

Fix

  1. In OBS, double-click the browser source. Untick Shutdown source when not visible and Refresh browser when scene becomes active.
  2. Set Width 1920 and Height 1080 (or your canvas size). A source at 0 x 0 shows nothing.
  3. Copy the URL again from Overlay Studio in the app while signed in, and paste it over the old one. URLs copied before signing in have no account in them.
  4. Press Refresh cache of current page at the bottom of the browser source dialog.
  5. Fire a test from the app's overlay page and watch OBS.

If that did not help

Pro and Ultra overlays stop updating when the plan lapses. Check Plans in the app. If the plan is fine, open Get Help, run the checks (the overlay URL check tells us whether the page is reachable) and send diagnostics.
